Purpose of the Guild
The Langley Weavers’ and Spinners Build was formed in 1971 under the sponsorship of the Langley Arts Council. It promotes educates, encourages, inspires and improves the skills of our members in spinning weaving, dyeing, felting and knitting.
- To go out into the community to promote our art by demonstrating or giving workshops or exhibiting our work.
- To provide opportunities to members to share knowledge, skills and ideas to further their artistic endeavors.
- To maintain an extensive library, which can be accessed by members; containing material related to all fibre arts promoted by the guild.
- To maintain a scholarship fund available to members to encourage the pursuit of their art.
We have monthly general meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. (Excluding December, July and August) at Sharon United Hall.
You are welcome to visit us at a meeting to see if you would like to join our guild. In fact we would like you to spin your wheels and weave your way to our next meeting as we are dyeing to see you!!!!
