Beads

You are currently browsing the archive for the Beads category.

These are some of the postcards that I have made for my first Internet postcard exchange with the Surface Design Yahoo Group. This has been great fun and I have been able to use three of the techniques that we have been learning about here.  The background material, is the fabric paper, the dragonfly was made with beads that we made on the bead day and the wings where made from melting cellophane and angelina together.  Hope you enjoy seeing these.

Results of the Bead Day

Well Sunday was a hoot…… We had a great time changing beads into creations of art and creating new art with UTEE.  UTEE is Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel, that you can find in some of the art stores and scrape booking shop locally.  As you will see it is great fun.

Hopefully by the weekend I will be able to work out some instruction of what we did and how we created these wonderfull beads and I will post the instructions here on the website.  That’s all for now.

Are you ready for a fun day of making beads out of different materials and old beads? We will be meeting at Karen’s house in the morning and playing till we need to leave.

I have done a small search of the internet to find some interesting sites on making beads with UTEE. This is the product that we will be playing with next Sunday. Take a look at these sites for eye candy and instructions on different ways of making beads with UTEE.
